Anne shares a yearly ritual for leaving behind something holding you down, and moving into the new year a little bit lighter.
Listening to all the interviews in this hour has made me think about an old ritual. And maybe you'd like to do it with me, here at the end of the year
This has to be at night. You're going to need a piece of paper, something to write with, and a fire.
Could be a big outdoor bonfire or just a single candle at the kitchen table.
So what you do is you take a minute and think of something you're ready to let go of. Something you've been holding onto. That's holding you back. You know what it is.
Write it down on a scrap of paper. Light it on fire. Let it burn. Until it's gone.
Release it to the air. And say goodbye to the old year.
