Let’s a play a game! It’s called One Hour, One Life. You start as a helpless baby and try to stay alive.
The game is the latest from independent game designer Jason Rohrer. In *One Hour, One Life*, you start as a naked newborn. The only way you can survive even the first three minutes is if another player — a stranger — adopts you. Which is kind of like the gamer’s equivalent of a trust fall.
It’s a surprisingly powerful experience – but that’s what Jason Rohrer is famous for designing — his work is part of the Museum of Modern Art’s permanent collection. His games are like social experiments and this time, he’s betting against cynicism and for love.
