You may remember Lauren Slater from her famous memoir, “Prozac Diary.” She’s back with a new one called “Blue Dreams,” in which she reflects on the 30 years she has spent on selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, more cheerfully known as SSRIs.
Anne started taking Prozac around the same time Lauren did — it was 1988 or so, when the drug was brand new. The two compare notes on the relief antidepressants can bring, along with the downsides.
