Tony Ortega

Tony Ortega was editor in chief of The Village Voice from March 2007 to September 2012.  Prior to that, he worked for Village Voice Media newspapers in Phoenix, Los Angeles, Kansas City, and South Florida. Originally from Los Angeles, he started with the company at the Phoenix New Times in 1995 and was named Arizona's Journalist of the Year in 1996 for his work exposing corruption in Sheriff Joe Arpaio's Maricopa County offices.
