Studs Terkel was a Pulitzer-prize-winning author, historian and broadcaster. For many years, he hosted the "Studs Terkel Radio Hour" from WFMT in Chicago. Terkel was known for collecting oral histories of people around the country, on various subjects, some of which he collected into the book "Working: People Talk About What They Do All Day and How They Feel About What They Do." He died in 2008 at age 96.
