Elizabeth Goodenough edited a book called “The Secret Spaces of Childhood.” Children’s author Zibby Oneal is one of the contributors to the book. Both women talk with Anne Strainchamps about children’s need to have secret spaces in which to read or play alone to develop their private identities.
