Dominique Browning is editor of “House and Garden” magazine, and the author of “Around the House and In the Garden: A Memoir of Heartbreak, Healing and Home Improvement.” She tells Anne Strainchamps that after her divorce, she took a perverse pride in letting her house fall apart. Eventually, she came back to life and started taking care of things again.
