A. Scott Berg is the author of “Kate Remembered.” The book is a biography of Katherine Hepburn in the form of a memoir of the author’s twenty year friendship with the actress. Berg tells Anne Strainchamps that Hepburn was a woman who liked to be in control of herself and others, and that she accepted Spencer Tracy’s alcoholism but never lost the essence of her own character.
