Richard Manning is the author of many books including “Food’s Frontier: The Next Green Revolution.”  Among the scientists profiled in that book is Robert Goodman, a plant pathologist at the University of Wisconsin.  Manning and Goodman tell Steve Paulson that it will take extraordinary measures to feed the world’s population in the next century and that genetically modified crops are a simple extension of the plant breeding that’s gone on for thousands of years.
