Mark Lee was a war correspondent for the London Telegraph in East Africa. He barely made it back alive and has now written a novel called “Canal House.” Lee tells Steve Paulson about his time in Uganda as the sole Western journalist in the country, and recounts tricks of the trade for staying alive in dangerous places.
