Actor/writer/comedian John McGivern grew up gay in a Catholic family in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His comedy has been featured on HBO and Comedy Central, and he plays an elf in the “Santaland Diaries” of David Sedaris. Here he shares some of his holiday memories.
