Hank Klibanoff is managing editor for news at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He and Gene Roberts are the co-authors of "The Race Beat: The Press, The Civil Rights Struggle, and the Awakening of a Nation." He tells Anne Strainchamps how the Emmett Till trial changed the way crimes against Blacks were reported and how some Southern papers kept the Civil Rights struggle off the front page.
