“Bad River” is Mary Mazzio’s documentary about a small tribe, the Bad River band of Lake Superior Chippewa, and their legal battle to get rid of an oil pipeline owned by Enbridge. She says Native Americans and white people speak two different languages when it comes to land rights. Mazzio talks with Anne Strainchamps about the conflicting ideas we have regarding land - how to live on it and even whether land can be owned.
