Writer Asra Nomani was born to a Muslim family in India but raised in the United States. Her editor at the Wall Street Journal assigned her to cover the “tantra” fad. Nomani traveled alone in India and Pakistan on what became a personal, spiritual journey. She tells Anne Strainchamps what happened after she found out she was pregnant and her colleague, Daniel Perl, was murdered.
