-she decided to go into journalism when she realized that her favorite thing about school was asking questions

-she is a citizen of three countries, carries the passports for two, has never lived in one, and has no idea which to call "home"

-she has a growing collection of bakelite bangles

-she has worked for the CBC, Radio Netherlands Worldwide, the Maine Public Broadcasting Network and Journalists for Human Rights (and freelanced for a slew of other media outlets)

-although she enjoys writing, radio is her great love

-she makes a mean dim sum feast

-if she was forced to give up journalism, she'd try to make a living as a gardener
