Parker Palmer on the Heart of Democracy

An oligarchy has slowly descended on Washington. Political discussion has become a blood sport. And atrophy (at best) has taken over the electorate. What in the world can be done?  Parker Palmer has a solution and it’s right in the title of this book “Healing the Heart of Democracy: The Courage to Create a Politics Worthy of the Human Spirit.” He says celebrate those tensions, don’t let others manipulate them. Because those tensions are at the heart of democracy itself.
