In her book and from this TTBOOK episode Elna revealed a part of her soul. As long as this media remains her soul will exist. This comment is not meant as a universal definition of soul, just a different way of looking at it.

If Elna Baker is a practicing Mormon, I'm Jesse Jackson. She obviously isn't committed to the LDS, but tries to convince us that she is. She should just take a deep breath and leave the organization.
