Daniel Levitin runs McGill University's Laboratory for Musical Perception, Cognition and Expertise. He's also a musician, record producer and author, most recently of "The World in Six Songs: How the Musical Brain Created Human Nature." He talks with Jim Fleming about music's pivotal role in human evolution.
